Foam filters for Kerala.
Die-cut reticulated foam, sheet stock and gaskets supplied to industry across Kerala — specified for what Kerala's plants are actually breathing, not from a catalogue.
What this state breathes.
Kerala is the toughest humidity environment for polyurethane foam in India, and comfortably the easiest state to get wrong. Dust loads are modest by national standards, so the specification conversation here is almost entirely about chemistry and about drying elements properly rather than about pore size.
Climate. The most consistently humid state in India, with two monsoons, sustained relative humidity, and salt-laden air along effectively the entire coastline.
Who buys foam here.
- Rubber and latex processing — Fine rubber dust and high ambient humidity throughout.
- Seafood processing and cold chain — Washdown and cold-room duties where cleanable media earns its place.
- Refining and petrochemicals, Kochi — Compressor and plant intakes in permanently humid coastal air.
- Ayurveda and food processing, Palakkad and Thrissur — Herbal and spice dust, plus washdown areas.
Industrial centres served: Kochi and Kalamassery · Thiruvananthapuram · Kanjikode and Palakkad · Kollam · Kozhikode.
What we'd recommend.
If there is one state where the polyester-versus-polyether decision is not a technical nicety but the whole ballgame, it is Kerala. Polyester foam here will hydrolyse and crumble, and we will not supply it for this state. Polyether at 20-30 PPI for most industrial intakes, dried thoroughly between washes, and expect the element's life to be governed by humidity rather than by dust load.
That is where we would start for rubber and latex processing, not a quote. Tell us the equipment, what it draws in and how often it will realistically be serviced, and the grade narrows quickly. Background: choosing a PPI and polyester against polyether.
Getting it to Kochi and Kalamassery.
Most Kerala enquiries arrive as one of two things: a die-cut element matched to a filter that already exists, or sheet stock for a converter cutting in-house. Both start from the same information — grade, thickness, and either a drawing, a DXF or the old part. Repeat orders then run against the same tooling.
We cut the foam ourselves at our own facility in Ghaziabad, which is why the recommendation above is a technical opinion rather than whatever happens to be in stock. Pricing is volume-based — see how foam is quoted.
Common questions.
Do you supply reticulated foam filters in Kerala?
Yes — die-cut filter elements, gaskets and sheet stock, supplied to industry across Kerala including Kochi and Kalamassery, Thiruvananthapuram, Kanjikode and Palakkad, Kollam and Kozhikode. Manufacturing is at our own facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and orders ship to you directly. Grades run from 20 to 80 PPI and thickness from 5 mm upwards, cut to your drawing, DXF or a sample of the element you want matched.
Which foam grade suits conditions in Kerala?

Will a foam filter survive Kerala's humidity?
Polyether foam will — it resists water and will still be flexible years later. Polyester foam will not: it hydrolyses in sustained warm damp conditions, going tacky and then crumbling, and Kerala is warm and damp effectively year round. We supply polyether only, which is the correct material here rather than a compromise. The other practical point is drying: a washed element must be fully dry before refitting, because a damp filter in this climate restricts airflow and encourages growth.
