    § 01 · Scope

    What we actually own.

    The useful thing a contract manufacturer can tell you is where their capability stops. Ours:

    • Printed polymer components — PETG, PLA, TPU. See low volume production.
    • Injection-moulded parts at volume, with the tooling decision advised rather than assumed.
    • Die-cut reticulated foam — filters, gaskets and vent media. See die-cutting.
    • PCB and electronics enclosures — printed or moulded. See PCB enclosures.
    • Assembled electro-mechanical units, wired and tested. See assembly.

    Where a job needs something we do not own — heavy machining, castings, PCB fabrication, plating — we say so plainly rather than quietly subcontracting it and adding a margin. If a component genuinely has to come from outside, you are told who is making it and why before you order.

    § 02 · Small runs

    Pilot batches are normal work.

    Most contract manufacturers cannot economically look at a pilot batch, which leaves a startup or a new product line choosing between an unaffordable minimum and no supplier at all. It is the single most common reason a working prototype never becomes a product in India.

    Printed and foam parts have no meaningful minimum here, and assembly starts at around ten units. That is deliberate rather than accidental — the first two hundred units of a product are where it learns what it should have been, and a supplier who will not make them is a supplier who only appears after somebody else has taken the risk.

    § 03 · Quality

    Agreed before the first batch.

    Dimensional inspection against the drawing, and functional test on assembled units, are standard. For repeat production the useful conversation happens before anything is made rather than after a rejection:

    • What gets measured — which dimensions are critical, and which are nominal. Every drawing has both; not every drawing says which.
    • How often — first-off, sampled through the run, or every piece.
    • What happens when something is out — quarantine, concession, rework, scrap. Decided in advance.
    • What records you get — inspection data with each consignment if your process needs it.

    Consistency is mostly process rather than machinery: one material lot per run where quantity allows, frozen settings, and no mid-batch improvements.

    § 04 · Repeat supply

    Schedules and honesty about forecasts.

    For repeat customers we run call-off supply against an agreed forecast, so you are neither carrying the inventory nor waiting a full lead time on every order.

    It only works with a realistic forecast, and we will be direct about that rather than agreeing to something that collapses in month three. A schedule built on optimistic numbers means either we hold stock nobody buys or you wait exactly as long as you would have without the arrangement. A schedule built on honest numbers works indefinitely.

    What can you manufacture under contract?

    Will my order be subcontracted?

    What is the smallest production run you take?

    How do you handle quality control?
