Does altitude change the foam specification?
Not directly, but the conditions that come with it do. Thinner air means a fan moves less mass for the same volume, so restriction matters slightly more — argue for coarser rather than finer. More importantly, freeze-thaw cycling at elevation embrittles polyurethane faster than warm conditions, so dry elements completely before refitting in winter and inspect them mechanically rather than on a schedule.
